Are Some Recovery Programs Better Than Others?

I’ve frequently thought I should join Procrastinators Anonymous, but I never seem to be able to get started on that project.

But whether you love or hate 12-step recovery, the beauty of all the 12 step/12 tradition programs is that they are founded by people who want to share a common solution to a common problem; they are not in existence because some group of professionals are trying out a pet theory, nor are they there because some government agency decided to help the helpless. They all exist because there are groups of people who make them exist. I think that’s beautiful.
